Experience
Christopher began his property career in 2003 and was registered by the NSW Fair Trading as a valuer in 2006.
With over 20 years property experience, Christopher has been an esteemed member of the Australian Property Institute (API) since 2005. In 2008, he was appointed as an Associate Member of the API (AAPI), and he earned his certification as a Practising Valuer (CPV) and Property Practitioner (CPP) in 2009.
His extensive experience spans various roles, including serving as a jointly appointed expert witness in matters relating to Family Law and Litigation proceedings. He has also been nominated as an independent valuer on behalf of the President of The Law Society of New South Wales, as well as an independent valuer for the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). Additionally, Christopher has provided high level portfolio valuations and consultancy services to various state government departments and to a range of corporate and private clients.
Throughout his career, Christopher has collaborated with both local and international valuation firms. His areas of expertise include a diverse range of property valuations across various asset classes, having gained valuable scope of proficiency and the skill set in undertaking valuations of prestige residential, commercial (retail and office), industrial (factory warehouses and strata units), also low to high density developments sites to residential subdivision lots. Additionally, he has significant experience in valuing specialised assets, including childcare centres, boarding houses, cinemas, and service stations.
Christopher has well developed professional knowledge of the valuation process and is involved with and has been an active contributor to the API’s professional community. He has presented at numerous NSW API discussion groups, and he has also represented the API at the Property and Home Buyers Expo on several occasions. Christopher is an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about property and would like to see further young property professionals progress through the industry.
In addition to his practical experience, Christopher is currently a Lecturer at the Sydney Institute of TAFE NSW, where he teaches in the ‘Bachelor of Property Valuation’ Degree Higher Education HE20507V02 and believes the art of Valuation cannot easily be taught without the investment of time and mentoring from those seniors amongst us.
